I wrote a post about my experience on September 11, 2001 while I was in basic training and how, due to lack of access to the news and other media, my experience was different than many people. But then I decided not to post it because it was too much about me, me, me and that terrible day was actually in no way about me. I didn't want to remember the 10th anniversary by focusing on myself, so for now I am not posting it.
I think the memorials in the footprints of the Towers are very beautiful.
I hope security has improved so nothing like this happens again. Yet I sadly acknowledge that as long as there is hatred and extremism in the world, people will try.
